Chak De India!!!

Its been a while since my last post...

And a lot has happened in the days between...
India won the twenty20 world cup
Some guy became Indian Idol
The Sensex crossed 16000 and 17000
I saw Chak de India

But the 20/20 win was what stole the show...

India played some amazing cricket...And deservedly won the world cup...and was praised heavily by the govt...Also by the fans...

I dont understand Indian Cricket Fans...Which would mean that i dont understand myself(Me being a cricket fan too)...which kinda makes sense...
Anywho...Indian fans are unpredictable...they always want to win...which is good, and they dont take too kindly to defeats...which is kinda good...but come to think of it...the same fans who showered such praise on the team for winning...would have cursed, burnt effigies, stoned houses and rioted...had sreesanth dropped the catch...and India had lost....To Pakistan...
Thankfully we won...

Which is basically the end of my point...


Another thing that really got me was chak de india...

A good movie but it had stuff that i didnt get...
The Indian women's team lost to the men's team 3-2...
And later lost to the Aussie women's team 7-0...
which doesnt speak so highly of the indian mens team...
Also...why make the final so nail biting...We all knew who would win...
Wouldn't be a such a good movie if India lost, does it...Why not make it a 10-0 win...showcasing the MIGHT of the indian team...instead winning 5-4 actually shows that the aussie team was not upto the mark...And India's victory was a fluke...

Anyway...
